Standard 7.1: Safety
Equipment and tools used in the training program must have all shields, guards, and other safety devices in place, operable, and used. Safety glasses must be worn by all students, instructors, and visitors in the lab/shop area while lab is in session.
Requirements:
- Are all shields, guards, and other safety devices in place, operable, and used? (Yes/No)
- Do all students, instructors, and visitors wear safety glasses in the lab/shop area while lab is in session? (Yes/No)
Recommended Documentation:
- Statement indicating where signs are posted on site, and a copy of safety policy.
- This standard will be verified by a walk through the lab area, observation and interviews with students.
